The Clas Ohlson Family Invests in the Heir’s AI Company

Find My Factory, an AI-based platform launched in January 2024, revolutionizes procurement by allowing buyers to quickly find the right suppliers from over 8 million global options. The company recently raised SEK 8 million in a funding round led by the Clas Ohlson family to accelerate its growth and expand its client base.

In January this year, the Swedish company Find My Factory was launched – a world-unique AI-based tool where buyers from all industries can quickly and efficiently find the right supplier among over 8 million suppliers and manufacturers worldwide. The company is now raising SEK 8 million in a round led by the Clas Ohlson family to rapidly grow and activate the long waiting list of major customers.

Find My Factory was founded in 2022 by Dimitri Haid (great-grandson of Clas Ohlson, owner of Clas Ohlson, as well as chairman of the Clas Ohlson Foundation and founder of Plaxbox) together with Martin Schneider, CEO (formerly a prominent leader at Trygg-Hansa) and David Larsson (owner of IT consultancy DJV Consulting).

Through my previous roles, including procurement and product development at my former company Plaxbox, I have seen firsthand the challenges and issues with finding the right suppliers in a time- and cost-efficient way. That's where the idea for Find My Factory was born. The team has done an incredible job, and we now feel confident that we are going to revolutionize the entire procurement industry, whether you're working with food, industry, retail, interior design, the automotive industry, and more. No one else in the world is doing what we do, says Dimitri Haid, founder.

With the founding trio in place, and Evolante as a technical partner and co-owner—led by Simon Wijk Stranius as CTO (Simon has represented Sweden in the world championships in service robotics and artificial intelligence from Linköping University)—they started building the platform.

"Our revolutionary tool redefines the procurement process. With just a few simple clicks, you can now search for suppliers of products and items from all corners of the world. We eliminate inefficient middlemen and free up valuable time for buyers to focus on other important tasks. We want to be a catalyst for a more sustainable procurement process; the alternatives are out there, and we ensure that buyers find them," says Martin Schneider, CEO and co-founder.

Find My Factory was launched in January this year with a long waiting list of over 80 customers from various industries who have also begun testing the product (including Clas Ohlson). Now, for the first time, they are raising funds (SEK 8 million) from, among others, the Clas Ohlson family and a number of angel investors to accelerate and grow.

About Find My Factory

The innovative AI-based platform is changing the way buyers find suppliers. By using product images, website URLs, or product descriptions, buyers can easily create detailed requirement specifications automatically. The search results present qualified suppliers that match the technical specification, company needs, and sustainability requirements.

The platform provides access to over 8 million global suppliers and streamlines the identification process by collecting "digital traces" from various open sources. The information is presented in a structured way for buyers, and the platform searches for information in all the world's languages. This enables easy navigation for companies in the global market without encountering language barriers.
